My initial impression of Xitang stemmed from my fondness for ancient towns. The first ancient town I visited was Wuzhen. At that time, I didn’t have enough time, so I always felt that I should visit Xitang as well. Before I came, some people said that Xitang wasn’t interesting. Luckily, we insisted on coming. In the middle of the day, we spent 30 yuan to take a boat ride, the houses, trees, flowers, and people on both sides of the river were all moving backward at a steady pace as the boat swayed. You can stretch, massage your back, knead your legs, and then find a comfortable position to lean back, close your eyes and look at the river bank. All the photos were taken with my phone, without any beautification or editing, the more natural the better.

You can walk arm in arm with your friends or hold your lover’s hand, or carry your little baby and walk slowly, browsing the specialty shops. There are shops selling musical instruments, bookmarks and sachets, and retro artistic clothing. In short, Xitang at night is more charming and sexy than Xitang in the daytime.
