On weekends or long weekends, take your children for a climb in the mountains, which can not only bring you closer to nature and enjoy the beautiful scenery, but also exercise your body. There are many mountains you can climb in Beijing. So which ones are more suitable for children to climb? Let’s take a look together!
1、Wucai Qianshan Yuzigou Scenic Area
Ticket: Free
The Shunyi Wucai Qianshan Trail is 280 kilometers long and connects five towns in the Shunyi Qianshan area. After the completion of the whole line, you can drive, ride bicycles and walk. It is a first-class mountain climbing and walking trail in China. The recommended Yuzigou is one of the more distinctive sections of Wucai Qianshan that is also very suitable for children. Compared with other sections, this section has majestic mountains and is more imposing. The feeling of standing on the top of the mountain and overlooking all the mountains is very good. However, the mountain climbing plank road is relatively primitive, but the terrain is relatively gentle, suitable for parent-child climbing. The valley is full of tall trees and lush vegetation, a natural large oxygen bar.
Address: Yuzigou Village, Shunyi District (Navigate to Yuzigou Parking Lot)
2、Baiwang Mountain Forest Park
Ticket: 6 yuan
Baiwang Mountain is completely effortless for children, about 20 minutes to the top of the mountain. The view from the top of the mountain is good, with the northwest corner of the Fifth Ring Road to the south, a large new city to the east, and rolling mountains to the northwest. There are two hiking routes in Baiwang Mountain, 4KM and 5.8KM. There is also a mini glass viewing platform. Along the way, there are chestnut trees wearing “hedgehog clothes” and locust trees hanging full of “small lanterns”. There are also wild snacks that little foodie loved when he was a child – elm money.

3、Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area
Ticket: 35 yuan
As a famous tourist scenic spot in Beijing, Shentangyu has a history of more than 600 years. Shentangyu Gorge, Baozi Castle, Ming Ancient Great Wall and other landscapes are all located here. The vegetation on the mountain has been almost untouched by humans, and there are no artificially carved “additional” landscapes. It can be called a paradise. Shentangyu has a 7558-meter plank road, which was built in 2014 for the APEC meeting. The plank road starts from the Buye Valley gate area and extends to the Shentangyu Scenic Area. Walking on it, you can see mountains, play in the water, watch flowers along the way, and overlook the Great Wall… It is very suitable for beginner hikers.

4、Baihujian Forest Park

Baihujian is known as the “back garden of Beijing”, located in Yangfang Town, Changping District (Yangfang hot pot, drooling~), adjacent to Phoenix Ridge. Unique rocks, deep valleys, and flowing streams are the three scenery here. It is also known as “Jingxi Xiaohuangshan”. As soon as you enter the gate of the scenic area, there are tire swings, wooden seesaws, and wooden houses for accommodation. There are small pools in the mountains everywhere in the scenic area, and the Xinxinch pond closest to the gate is a good place for children to have a water gun battle.
