Many people ask how to get to Stone Lake Scenic Area in Suzhou. They are not very familiar with the bus routes to Stone Lake Scenic Area in Suzhou. In fact, you can take bus No. 93 to get there. Stone Lake Scenic Area is a great place to visit. It’s usually not very crowded, so it’s quiet and peaceful. The scenery is beautiful and unique. Here is a detailed guide to help you decide if Stone Lake Scenic Area is worth visiting.
Last Saturday, after work in the morning, I went to Stone Lake with two colleagues from the dance team.
This was their dance team’s activity. I was the only one who couldn’t dance, but I could appreciate it. Their dances were so beautiful! The music and dancing were perfectly matched! I’ve already recorded at least thirty short videos. It’s a feast for the eyes and ears, and they’ve danced their way to a great figure and a good temperament. I never get tired of watching it. Fans like me are rare!
Let me clarify something first. Some readers may wonder why I don’t join the dance team if I enjoy it so much. Remember, more than three years ago, I immediately fell in love with their dancing. I even went to try it out a few times, but I couldn’t learn it no matter how hard I tried. I was a complete failure! I gave up and decided to go for a night walk instead.
I went to Stone Lake mainly to see the Colorful Oil Paper Umbrella and Windmill Art Festival. The ticket price is 25 yuan. You can get free admission by forwarding the event on WeChat and getting likes. Teacher Zong reminded me to forward it and get likes too. Apparently, they had this idea. This was the first time I participated in an activity where I could get free admission by forwarding on WeChat and getting likes.
This was also the first time I took the No. 93 bus to Stone Lake. It felt like a fresh and exciting travel experience. It took less than half an hour, and I was at Stone Lake in no time.
I was overjoyed to see the colorful windmills and oil paper umbrellas arranged in various designs for visitors to take photos. Standing inside the large shed made of windmills, all the colorful windmills kept spinning, and I immediately felt motion sickness.
The weather was hot, but our enthusiasm for taking photos was still high! Every woman under the oil paper umbrellas became a woman like lilac flowers! Seeing some people using cloth to make a changing room, we regretted not bringing some clothes to change our outfits, especially since we missed the opportunity to wear a cheongsam and experience it under the oil paper umbrellas.
After taking photos of all kinds of poses, Teacher Wang and her six colleagues went home early. Teacher Zong and I decided to stay and walk around the Stone Lake.
As we walked, we encountered even more beautiful natural scenery! In Stone Lake Park, as the sun set, we saw the Li Island Smoke and Rain Tower floating like a celestial palace in the moving white clouds. The grand and peaceful corridor gave a sense of mystery, as if we could also fly among the clouds with a somersault! We were amazed and took many photos of the beautiful scenery.
Walking out of the Smoke and Rain Tower, we continued to admire the view by the lake. The sun was setting in the west, looking like a red yolk. The lake shimmered, and the green trees and their reflections formed a series of ever-changing beautiful scenes, a masterpiece of nature. In that instant, we understood that all beauty in the world is superficial, and the effortless beauty of nature is the truest and most beautiful. It’s also the most beautiful thing that we can’t keep, only in our memories.
We saw an avid photographer quietly waiting by the lake. We took the initiative to chat with him about photography and the original appearance of Stone Lake. He showed us the beautiful pictures he had taken before, some precious pictures of Stone Lake that were forever captured by his camera. He told us that he would wait for hours to take a satisfactory photo. He also told us the best place to view the Stone Lake night scenery.
As we walked out of Stone Lake Park, suddenly, the tower lights on the mountain in the distance lit up, and neon lights also illuminated the Stone Kong Bridge across the lake. Teacher Zong and I turned our heads at the same time, overjoyed! Remembering the introduction of the photography enthusiast, we understood his meaning. We seemed to be still soaring through the night sky of the heavens. The night scenery and mood made me feel that words are powerless to describe it. We can only keep it in our beautiful memories. 2017.6.4

I always thought the section of Stone Lake near Xingchun Bridge was comparable to West Lake. These photos are amazing!
