Hiking Spots Around Xi’an

1、Baishitouyu

Baishitouyu is located in Luan Town, Chang’an District, Xi’an. It is said that in ancient times, when looking south from the south gate of Chang’an, one could see a dazzling white light in the Qinling Mountains, and following this light all the way would lead to this valley. White stones in the valley water, the quality of the stone is very good, so this valley is named ‘Baishitouyu’.

Yunji Temple, a Chinese Buddhist temple. Located in Yunji Mountaintop, deep in Taiping Valley of the Qinling Mountains, 35 kilometers southwest of Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. Yunji Mountain was originally named Wanhuashan, with a peak elevation of 1917 meters.

3、Dingpengliang

Zigeyu is located in Huxian District, Xi’an City, about 30 kilometers away from the urban area. Inside there is Jingde Pagoda, where Xuanzang’s remains are buried. Now you can take Xi’an No. 921 bus and get off at Address No. 8 Team (Haojiazhuang) station and walk south into the mountain. Alternatively, after getting off the bus, walk east (opposite to the direction of the car) for 50 meters and cross the bridge. There is a road leading to the mountain on the east side of the bridge. Follow the road straight south, which is Zigeyu. You need to pay a fee along the way. When you arrive at the site of Baolin Temple, you can see an ancient bell in the grass. Upwards is a stone road, difficult to push a car, continue to walk for about 500 meters, on the right there is a small road, up the mountain you can reach Jingde Pagoda. If you walk further forward, you can see two waterfalls.

5、Niubei Liang

Niubei Liang National Nature Reserve, the green pearl of the eastern Qinling Mountains, is a natural oxygen bar that is unknown to the world. There are lush virgin forests, quiet pools and waterfalls, unique canyon scenery, and rare peak forest landscapes.

Shaanxi Niubei Liang National Forest Park is located in Zhujiawan Village, Yingpan Town, Zhashui County, Shangluo City, bordering Chang’an District to the north with the main ridge of the Qinling Mountains as the watershed. The elevation is 1000-2802m, with a relative height difference of 1800m, the highest peak is 2802m, the highest peak in the eastern Qinling Mountains, covering Chang’an, Zhashui and Ningshan three counties, is an important water conservation area for Xi’an City and southern Shaanxi Province, named after its ridge like a cow’s back. The world’s first tunnel – the 18-kilometer long Qinling Tunnel passes through its abdomen, the scenic spot is full of towering mountains, overlapping peaks, most of the places with deep ravines, steep cliffs; rivers are clear and flowing, changing all the time, the natural scenery is magnificent and magnificent.

6、Zhuque Forest Park
