Naan Pit Meat
Baked Naan
Baked Naan
Coming to Kurle, the city of pears, I checked into a youth hostel closest to the train station, Longxing Hostel. That night, I went out to dinner with a few friends from the hostel at a Naan pit meat restaurant called “Desert Fragrance.” Five of us came from Guangdong, Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, Anhui, and a Korean uncle. We were all strangers before, but today we were able to have dinner together in Pear City. This is the advantage of staying in a youth hostel.
Dinner doesn’t need to be lavish, but the flavors of the Western Regions made us raise our glasses again and again. Naan pit meat, desert grilled fish, lamb chops, and baked naan. Of course, the wine was Xinjiang’s Wusu beer, and there was also Russian Kvass beer. The gathering of people from all over the world, without national barriers, without the need for matching status, only joy spread with the fragrant delicacy, lasting forever.
A corner of Bosten Lake
Lake water, reeds
Desert
Desert, lake water, a small boat
The next morning, we visited the Kurle Museum and learned about the history of Kurle. At noon, we headed for Bosten Lake. Bosten Lake is the largest inland freshwater lake in China, with a total area of 1646 square kilometers. Bosten Lake is also known as the Pearl of the Western Regions and a paradise.
On the way forward, we passed by an artificial black wolfberry planting base. At first glance, it was inconspicuous, with low shrubs, with small spines growing on the trunk. It is sought after by countless people, constantly raising its value.
On the edge of the Gobi Desert and the desert, there grows a thousand-year-old Populus euphratica. At this time of year, they are still green, but in autumn, they will be full of golden yellow, becoming a hot spot for people’s lenses.
We stopped and went along the way, the scenery flashed before our eyes, but it was engraved in our hearts. After more than three hours, we finally arrived at Bosten Lake. As far as the eye could see, the lake was vast, the waves were vast, and the sky and water were one. Behind us, however, was an endless desert. They seem to be unrelated, but they live next to each other, so Bosten Lake is known as a pearl in the sea of sand. In the lake area, the reeds are green and fragrant, the paths are deep and winding, and white egrets flap their wings, rippling the water, wave after wave spreading to the horizon.
The clear lake water, refreshing the eyes, at this moment, the dust in the heart dissipated. Taking off our shoes and socks, we walked into the diving area, the coolness, hitting our hearts, was incredibly enjoyable and comfortable.
At this time, a teddy bear came from afar, all the way to our side, as if it knew us, and played happily with us in the lake. It seems that in this desolate place, the teddy bear must be the only one raised by fishermen, and because it has been unaccompanied for a long time, it met us today so friendly, so it was able to frolic freely.
After coming ashore, we realized that there were still blooming Tamarix chinensis by the lake. The red flowers add a lot of vitality to this quiet land. The yellow desert, the blue lake water, the azure sky, the fiery red flowers, such a combination is also the ultimate beauty of the world, unique and beautiful.
We walked slowly across the dunes, the wind and sand blinded our eyes, but it made our hearts happy. Five of us, plus a dog, left a string of footprints, and after a gust of wind, everything returned to normal.
At dusk, the wind and sand filled the air, and the originally clear blue sky turned gray. The red sun was lifeless and lifeless, and we had to leave early, originally planning to watch the sunset over the desert.
As our car slowly started up, the teddy bear that had played with us all afternoon followed the car left and right. As the car speed increased, the teddy bear also started to run, but its speed could not match the speed of the car, and it was eventually left behind on the other side of the desert. When we saw it running after us in the car, all of us were silent. They say that dogs have feelings, and at this moment, we deeply agree.
Apocynum venetum flower tea
Back at the youth hostel, the hostel owner gave me a cup of Apocynum venetum flower tea. I had never heard of the name, let alone seen the species. It is said to be good for beauty, but I don’t want to go into that, I just feel that the enthusiasm of others is the most precious.
The brewed Apocynum venetum flower tea, curling and graceful, stretched out after being slumped for countless days. The fragrant aroma, taking a sip, emotions surge in the heart. Dreamlike illusion, sticking to a blooming flower.
On the road, it’s not just the scenery, there are also many fragments that can connect our memories. Therefore, the unknown on the road is even more exciting. The unfamiliar atmosphere, there are moments of emotional overflow, that is the beauty.
Kurle is the largest prefecture in China, covering an area of 471,526 square kilometers. There are many places to visit in Kurle. Whether it’s natural scenery or a long history, it’s enough to attract everyone. The iron horse and golden armor in front of the Iron Gate Pass, the horror of Lop Nur, the mystery of the ancient Loulan Kingdom. As long as your thoughts are touched, you will long for it, and your feet will come involuntarily.
