Morning Itinerary
You must arrive at the Mount Wugong Scenic Area before 9 am, remember that you must! After arriving at the scenic spot, start to go to the ticket office of the Mount Wugong Scenic Area to buy tickets for 70 yuan/person. After buying the tickets, start to climb the mountain through the entrance. It takes about 3 and a half hours from the foot of the mountain to the Good Man Slope, and about 30-40 minutes to the Hanging Horse Village. You can see the Mountain God of Mount Wugong and the endless grassland when you arrive at the Hanging Horse Village. It takes about 1 hour to reach the Golden Summit from the Hanging Horse Village. Although the distance from the Hanging Horse Village to the Golden Summit does not seem very far, and it does not take much time, the mountain road is relatively steep and difficult to climb, so it seems not far but takes time.
The whole journey from the foot of the mountain to the top takes about 5 hours. If you climb the mountain before 9 am, you can reach the top of the mountain around 1 pm. The entire route during the climb is a steep upward route, which is quite energy-consuming. Therefore, everyone must bring their own food and water.
Afternoon Itinerary
In the afternoon, since you are going down the cable car, if you are not strong enough to climb in the morning, you can choose to take the cable car all the way down in the afternoon. However, the Mount Wugong cable car is divided into Level 1 cable car and Level 2 cable car. Level 1 cable car is from the foot of the mountain to the halfway up the mountain, and Level 2 cable car is from the halfway up the mountain to the top. Therefore, the Mount Wugong cable car is divided into sections and not connected together. There is a section of road between Level 2 cable car and Level 1 cable car. It takes about 1 hour to go from Level 2 cable car to Level 1.
It takes about 3 and a half hours to hike all the way down to the scenic spot gate at the foot of the mountain. It takes about 20 minutes from the Golden Summit to the Level 2 cable car station. It takes about 1 hour from the Level 2 cable car station to the glass plank road and iron chain bridge. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the Level 1 cable car. Those who have problems with physical strength and time can choose to take the Level 1 cable car down the mountain, which can reach the scenic spot gate at the foot of the mountain. If you have no problems with time and physical strength, you can choose to continue hiking down the mountain. It takes about 2 hours from the Level 1 cable car to the scenic spot gate at the foot of the mountain. The route includes Monkey Valley, Biao Shui Yan Waterfall, Jin Xin Pu Waterfall, Tian Ma Yin Ti Pu Waterfall and hiking down the mountain.
