1、Reservation Guide
Daily quota: 5,000 people (including basic exhibition and temporary exhibition).
Reservation time: Available seven days in advance (including the day). Please log in to Hunan Provincial Museum website or WeChat official account to make time-slot reservation. The system will be unavailable for reservation from 23:00 to 1:00 AM every day for maintenance.
Epidemic prevention requirements:
During the epidemic prevention period, Hunan Provincial Museum only provides personal online real-name registration for reservations, with a daily quota of 5,000 people (including temporary exhibitions). You can log in to the official website of Hunan Provincial Museum or the official WeChat service account in advance to make time-slot reservations. After successfully making a reservation, please enter the museum for visit with your reservation SMS, valid ID, and scan the “Hunan Venue Code” on-site; if you have a travel history outside the province within the past 14 days, please provide a negative nucleic acid test report within 48 hours; if you do not wear a mask, do not make a reservation, or have a fever (body temperature ≥37.3°C), cough or other symptoms, you will be refused entry.
During the epidemic prevention period, the VR digital experience museum and multimedia equipment in the exhibition halls are temporarily closed, and team reservations and parking services are not available. You can use the official WeChat service account of Hunan Provincial Museum for free to experience the self-guided tour.
2、Reservation Process
Step 1: Search for “Hunan Provincial Museum” on WeChat and follow it. Click the area shown in the picture below to follow;
Step 2: Click “Visitor Services” – “Ticket Reservation” on the bottom left menu bar;
Step 3: Click “Personal Reservation” on the page; log in by entering your mobile number and password; if you are not registered, click “Register” to register first and then “Log in”;
Step 4: After successful login, click “Personal Reservation” again;
Step 6: Then select the visit date, time slot, and visit type, and click “Submit”.

Flower Soul Bird Spirit – Zou Chuan’an Art and Documents Exhibition
On May 7, 2022, the original large-scale exhibition “Flower Soul Bird Spirit – Zou Chuan’an Art and Documents Exhibition” hosted by Hunan Provincial Museum opened in the Art Hall of the Provincial Museum. The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge from May 7 to June 8, 2022, at the Temporary Exhibition Hall 2 on the first floor of Hunan Provincial Museum.

Hunan Provincial Museum will launch the “Wang’s Family Arts – Wang Kaiyun and His Disciples” thematic exhibition on June 11, 2021. It will be exhibited free of charge at the Calligraphy and Painting Special Exhibition Hall on the third floor until June 11, 2022. The exhibition will also feature two hand-written Buddhist scriptures scrolls by Mr. Yang Du donated to Hunan Provincial Museum by his family.
