The Fourth Guangxi (Beihai) Garden Expo opened on May 10th in Beihai, Guangxi. The expo site is located north of Yintan Avenue and east of Nanzhu Avenue in Beihai, adjacent to the famous Yintan Scenic Area and the Coastal Wetland Park. The Garden Expo Park consists of one main and two auxiliary parks, covering a total area of about 298 hectares. Among them, the core exhibition area of the Garden Expo Park covers 75.7 hectares, the artificial wetland covers 116.3 hectares, and the national coastal wetland park covers 106.5 hectares, with a total investment of 600 million yuan. It is about 25 minutes’ drive from the airport and only 15 minutes’ drive from Nanzhu Station and the railway station. In the future, it will become the green heart of Beihai’s future city and an important public green open space. The theme of this expo is “Flower Sea Silk Road, Green Illuminates Pearl City”. It is the first time to be held in a coastal city in Guangxi. The Garden Expo Park’s landscape construction highlights the characteristics of ocean culture. With a layout of “one axis, three rings”, “water and land double tour”, “three seas respond”, “double towers look at each other from afar”, and “set sail”, the main entrance of the park leads to the main landscape axis “Flower Sea Silk Road”. Along the main axis are the “Bronze Phoenix Welcoming Guests”, “Beihai Impression”, and “Prosperous Leadership” three circular landscape areas, representing the city’s three historical foreign opening trips, implying the historical journey from the starting port of the Maritime Silk Road in the Han Dynasty to the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures during modern trade, and then to the modern reform and opening up of great development. The Garden Expo Park plans ten themed landscape areas. The entire park showcases the ethnic culture, garden architecture essence, and the latest achievements of garden and horticultural arts of Guangxi through 14 city exhibition gardens.
3. Transportation Guide
Address: Intersection of Nanzhu Avenue and Yintan Avenue, Yinhai District, Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
You can take buses 12, 16, 18, and New Century Avenue Line to get off at the University Park Road intersection. Buses 101 and 102 stop at the Garden Expo Park station. From there, you can walk to the park.
Internal transportation: 10 yuan per person for the electric shuttle bus inside the park.
