Qipan Mountain is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Shenyang city. The scenic area has mountains and water, lush trees, and suitable seasons for viewing lotus flowers and red leaves. The natural scenery is very beautiful. In Qipan Mountain, you can experience mountain climbing, outdoor CS, mountain slides, and other entertainment projects. You can also have a picnic here and enjoy a leisurely weekend. Every winter, the Ice and Snow World here is a paradise for ice sculpture viewing and snow play. In addition, there are cultural landscapes such as the Kanto Film and Television City for you to enjoy, with a wealth of content.
Qipan Mountain Scenic Area has multiple entrances. The scenic area is large, with the circumference of the central Xihu Lake alone being more than ten kilometers. There are no shuttle buses in the scenic area, so it is recommended to choose self-driving for exploring Qipan Mountain. The recommended tour route is: South Gate of the Scenic Area – Xihu Lake and Wharf – Huishan Mountain – Qipan Mountain – Dayangshan. Every year on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, Qipan Mountain hosts a grand lantern festival. This is one of the most famous Lantern Festivals in Northeast China and is very spectacular.
There are often small cars picking up tourists at the entrance of Qipan Mountain to take them to the Mysterious Valley of Qipan Mountain. They claim that you can get free admission to Qipan Mountain, but the Mysterious Valley is not within the boundaries of Qipan Mountain Scenic Area. Drivers often deceive tourists and take them to attractions for disguised charges, so please don’t believe them.
