The colorful tents on the camping base stand out beautifully against the verdant mountains. You stand on the mountain to enjoy the view, and you become a part of the scenery yourself. At the same time, this is where the world’s highest wind farm in terms of relative altitude is located, with over 30 large wind turbines lined up along the mountain range, standing tall on the mountain peak. Gongyu Village is hidden in a basin, surrounded by volcanic rhyolite landforms. There are no roads leading to the village, and it takes over two hours to reach it on foot. The four sides are surrounded by towering peaks, and the terraced fields are layered upon each other. The village blends with the blue sky and white clouds, creating a picture-perfect scene like a paradise on earth.

The highest peak of Gongyu Mountain reaches over 1,000 meters above sea level, while Gongyu Village sits on a mountain at an altitude of 600 meters. It is divided into Shangping Village and Xiaoping Village. The village retains its complete mountain-style ancient dwellings, with the original quaint appearance unchanged. Surrounded by the surrounding peaks, it has become a small basin.

Set up camp on the mountain and look up at the starry sky.

Compared to those resorts with exquisite homestays, this village hidden in the mountains appears somewhat “backward.” However, camping in such a village is truly a wonderful experience. As night falls, watch the starry sky and the crescent moon hanging on the mountaintop. Set up your tent, sit on the ground, and listen to the soft whispers of the breeze.
