The weather was pretty good on Saturday. I didn’t want to stay in the dorm, so I decided to call three of my friends. After we set our destination, we began our one-day tour. I had never tried this before, so I was extremely excited and thrilled. The three of us set off with great enthusiasm.
From school to our destination, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics,
it was a total of 26.5 kilometers. A round trip was a whopping 53 kilometers. The highest temperature that day was 31 degrees Celsius, and when we set off, the sun was already high in the sky, which was quite daunting.
However, for me, as a traveler, hot weather, long journeys, and the hardships of travel were certainly taxing, but our hearts were set, and nothing could stop us.
The scenery along the way was breathtaking.

As we sped along, the wind gently brushed against our faces, showering our bodies with warmth like water. We met the eyes of flowers, bees, butterflies, ponds, and lakes. I don’t know if we caused them to look up in wonder, or if it was just my imagination.
My mind was at peace, my body in motion, and joy emanated from within.

Look at the towering mountains in the distance.
Smell the exhaust fumes constantly filling my nostrils, sickening my nerves.
Feel the struggle of pushing the bike uphill, and also feel the thrill of speeding downhill, me, the bike, and the road, all performing a symphony of speed and passion.
Travel is like that. There are ups and downs. Life is like that too. There is joy and sorrow. But we just seek a moment of peace within. Travel is not always joyful, and it’s not always happy. There are also painful moments that make us cry out in anguish. The scorching sun, going out into the dust, and then returning from the dust.
Those who are heartbroken may cry their eyes out,
But those who ride bicycles will definitely be covered in dust, allowing the exhaust fumes to clear their minds.
My hair acted as a vacuum cleaner, collecting dust, and the dust gave my face a free facial. I went out with a happy heart, and came home dirty.

Last fall when I came here, it was a scene of autumnal yellow. This summer when I came again, it was a green melody.
The people have changed, but the mountains remain unchanged. What remains unchanged is my love for you. And this mountain, like the lover’s deep gaze, remains youthful after weathering the storms.

Undeniably, this is the most beautiful scenery on the journey, and it is heaven for the “pilgrims.”
