2、Scenic Spot Introduction
Yangma Island is a sea island. The newly built cross-sea bridge connects the island with the mainland. There are six scenic spots in the square, including Qinhuang Culture Garden and Horse Culture Garden.
The eastern part of the island before the Tianma Square is a flat and delicate golden beach. On a sunny day, the blue sea is calm as a mirror, and the beautiful mountains are reflected in it, like a fresh landscape painting unfolding before people’s eyes. Every summer, countless tourists come here to swim, swim and sail.
The beach west of the square is just a stone’s throw from the eastern bathing beach, but it’s a different scene. When the tide recedes, a patch of black mud beach is revealed. Tourists can join the fisherwomen to go to the beach to catch small seafood and dig clams, enjoying a leisurely pleasure.
Unlike the calm waves of the front beach of Yangma Island, the rear sea is vast and full of reefs. Every time there is a strong wind, the waves crash against the shore, piling up snow and jade, which is spectacular. This is the reef beach among the “three beaches in one island”. The reefs in the beach are ax-cut and knife-cut, strange and bizarre. Many reefs have beautiful names, such as the camel floating in the sea, the lion dog avoiding waves, the golden turtle looking at the sea, etc. There is a natural cave in the east of the reef beach, which is called “Crescent Moon Cave” because the entrance is shaped like a crescent moon. There is a spring in the cave, the spring water is cool and sweet. Next to the “Crescent Moon Cave”, there is another natural cave. It has 18 holes of different sizes. Legend has it that when the tide is high, there will be a loud noise in the cave, which makes the dogs in the fishermen’s houses on the island bark incessantly. Therefore, this cave is called “Dog Bite Eighteen Caves” by the locals.
3、Scenic Spot Cuisine
The island is rich in seafood, including sea cucumbers, scallops, abalone, prawns, oysters, swan eggs and other marine products, which are famous for their long history. Yangma Island is rich in seafood, and the seafood dishes made with it are superb. Famous dishes such as “Steamed Prawns”, “Scallions and Sea Cucumber”, and “Two-Way Swan Eggs” are renowned both at home and abroad. There are also hundreds of varieties of fisherman’s dumplings.
