I finally had two full days off on Saturday and Sunday, but I didn’t want to waste this hard-earned time. I made plans with my friends to do some exciting activities and release all the stress I’ve been under. This is my way of de-stressing, and I think it’s pretty good. If you don’t believe me, you can try it too, but only if you’re not afraid of heights. This time, I planned the trip a bit hastily, so I went to the nearby Shi Du Ju Ma River Park. It was a really good experience.
The weather was extremely hot, but it was surprisingly cool in the mountains. When I left home, the temperature was almost forty degrees, but when I got off the bus here, I couldn’t believe how cool it was. The wind was refreshing, and it carried the fragrance of flowers.
There are many thrilling and exciting activities at Shi Du Ju Ma River Park: rock climbing, canyon flying, electric bull riding, speedboats, bamboo rafts, electric boats, air buses, cable cars, flying wings, and more. The most exciting one is canyon flying, which is basically bungee jumping. It was exhilarating at first, but after doing it a few times, it didn’t feel as thrilling anymore. However, the feeling of soaring freely in the air was still awesome.
After all those activities were over, it was still pretty early, so I decided to try the Ju Ma River rafting. We floated down from the upper reaches in a rubber dinghy all the way to the lower reaches. I was so excited the whole way, and didn’t care that my clothes were completely soaked. It was so amazing! It was so much fun!
The different colored kayaks looked really cool. There were a lot of people here enjoying the park. The mountain isn’t very steep, so the rafting wasn’t very thrilling. But getting wet in the hot summer was still very comfortable.
Even though the trip wasn’t very long, it was still great to get away from work. It was great to have this experience, and to be able to play freely in the mountains. Most importantly, I haven’t been walking in the mountains for a long time. The tranquility and beauty of the mountains calmed my restless heart. I was able to relax and unwind. After a good rest, I’ll pack up and head back to work, ready to work hard again!
