2、Yuzhong Mahianshan

Mahianshan is the watershed between Yuzhong County and Lintao County in Gansu Province. It is located on the south side of Xinglong Mountain and runs from northwest to southeast. The top of the mountain is like a flatland, about 8 to 10 kilometers wide and 40 to 50 kilometers long. Its towering terrain and harsh climate have made the landscape of Mahianshan drastically different from its surroundings, similar to the Tibetan Plateau, known as one of the three poles of the Earth.

Mahianshan is cool and breezy in the summer, with lush trees offering shade. When the temperature in Lanzhou reaches 30 degrees Celsius, Mahianshan remains refreshingly cool, making you feel comfortable from the inside out. It’s a sea of green, and breathing in the rich oxygen is a satisfying experience for your blood vessels. The trees are distributed in distinct layers, creating a dense canopy. Along the roadsides, golden Kinousa plums bloom everywhere, making them quite beautiful. The most relaxing thing to do at Mahianshan is to sit on the grassy mountaintop, gazing at the cows and sheep grazing in the distance. Of course, adding some grilled skewers to the experience would make it even more enjoyable.
