Beidahu Ski Resort is located in Beidahu Development Zone, Jilin, 53 kilometers from Jilin City. Beidahu Ski Resort has unique natural advantages. The slopes are gentle and there are few steep cliffs. The main peak is 1408.8 meters above sea level, and there are 9 peaks with an altitude of over 1200 meters. The average winter temperature is minus 10.2 degrees Celsius. The initial snowfall date in some years is in late October, the final snowfall date is in late April, and the snow days reach about 160 days. The snow depth is about 0.5 meters at the foot of the mountain, about 1 meter in the middle, and about 1.5 meters at an altitude of 1000 meters or above. Beidahu was originally called Beidahu. According to a report on CCTV Sports Channel on January 3, 2011, on September 18, 2011, with the approval of relevant departments of the Jilin Municipal Government. The original “Lake” with three dots of water did not have any real meaning, it was just a slip of the tongue by a geological and archaeological surveying team in the 1960s.
