1、Tangshan Ming Culture Village (Yangshan Stele) Scenic Area
Yangshan Stele is located on the southern slope of Yangshan Mountain, northwest of Tangshan Street, Jiangning District, Nanjing. It is a unique stele built by Emperor Zhu Di, the Ming Chengzu, for his father, Zhu Yuanzhang. It consists of three parts: the stele tablet, the stele body, and the stele base. The total height is about 75 meters, and it weighs over 26,000 tons. It is known as the “No. 1 Stele in the World”.
2、Nanjing Ancient Ape-Man Cave Scenic Area
The Ancient Ape-Man Cave is located in Leigong Mountain, Tangshan Town, Nanjing. In 1993, the world-renowned Nanjing Ape-Man No. 1 skull fossil and No. 2 skull fossil were discovered in the cave. According to experts, the two skulls are about 580,000-620,000 years old. It is the only complete ancient ape-man site found in the south of the Yangtze River and is of the same age as the Zhoukoudian site in Beijing.
3、Niushoushan Cultural Tourism Zone
Niushoushan Cultural Tourism Zone is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing. It is a famous Buddhist mountain in China with a profound cultural heritage. It is the birthplace of Niu Tou Chan Buddhism. Niushoushan preserves historical relics such as Yue Fei’s anti-Jin fortress and Zheng He’s tomb. It has built a series of cultural projects such as the Buddha Top Palace and the Buddha Top Front Garden.
4、Nanjing Liuhe Jinniu Lake Scenic Area
Jinniu Lake was originally Jinniu Mountain Reservoir, built in 1958. It is the largest artificial lake in Nanjing. The lake is named after the mountain, and the mountain is enhanced by the water. On August 14, 2006, Jinniu Lake Scenic Area passed the appraisal and became the first “National Water Conservancy Scenic Area” in Nanjing.
5、Nanjing Treasure Shipyard Site Scenic Area
Nanjing Zheng He Treasure Shipyard Park is located on the site of the Longjiang Treasure Shipyard. The treasure ship was 148 meters long and 60 meters wide. It is a large-scale park integrating tourism, commemoration, exhibition, and leisure, invested and developed by Nanjing City to commemorate the 600th anniversary of Zheng He’s voyages to the West.
6、Liuhe National Geopark Guizi Mountain Stone Pillar Forest Scenic Area
Guizi Mountain Stone Pillar Forest Scenic Area is located in Yezhan Street, Liuhe District. The stone pillar forest cliffs are about 30 meters high, all made up of stone trees with a diameter of about 0.5 meters. They are arranged neatly and closely together, with a majestic momentum, peculiar scenery, and a wonder of nature. They are extremely spectacular. They are listed as one of the “New Jinling Forty-Eight Scenery”, named “Stone Pillars Reach for the Sky”.
7、Yanziji Park
Yanziji is named after its appearance from the river, like a swallow flapping its wings about to fly. There are 72 reefs of different sizes along the south bank of the Yangtze River, and Yanziji in Nanjing, Caishiji in Anhui, and Chenglingji in Yueyang, Hunan are known as the three major reefs of the Yangtze River. Yanziji is also known as the “No. 1 Reef of the Yangtze River”, due to its small and delicate appearance, which is especially popular with tourists.
8、Muyan Binjiang Landscape Area Yangtze River Guanyin Scenic Area
The Yangtze River Guanyin Scenic Area is located on a narrow strip of land between Mufushan Mountain and the Yangtze River. The Guanyin Pavilion and the “Three Caves” were famous scenic spots in ancient history, and the Guanyin culture in this area has been very popular since ancient times. Guanyin Pavilion was built in the first year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1368 AD), because there was a Guanyin stone carving on the cliff of the mountain, imitating Wu Daozi’s style in the Tang Dynasty. The monks chose this site to build the pavilion and named it Guanyin Pavilion.
9、Muyan Binjiang Darmo Ancient Cave
Darmo Ancient Cave is located east of the Five Horses Ferry Square in the Muyan Binjiang Landscape Area, Nanjing. It is a natural stone cave located on the steep cliff between the mountainside. The cave is deep and winding, and the cave entrance faces the river, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the Yangtze River.
10、Nanjing Dajin Mountain Scenic Area
The park was built in 1990 and is the first privately owned district-level national defense park in the country. In 2008, it was built into a comprehensive, innovative, and characteristic national defense education and patriotic education base integrating national defense culture, military culture, red culture, and tourism.
