Where to Hike in Yanqing, Beijing

1、Phoenix Tuo Trail

Located in the west of Xigouli Village, Sihai Town, with a forest coverage rate of over 95%, the air is fresh and the environment is beautiful. The highest peak in the scenic area is the Phoenix Tuo, also known as Fengtuoliang, named after its phoenix-like shape. It is 1529 meters above sea level, with a wide view from the top of the peak. Climbing to the top will give you a feeling of flying on clouds.

There are grassy alpine meadows in the Phoenix Tuo scenic area, spectacular ant nests, strange and rugged big stone dragons and small stone dragons, and clear spring water flowing year-round in the mountains, which can be drunk directly.

2、Yuhuang Mountain Trail

Located between Fugao Camp and Xiguan Camp Village, Dayu Tree Town, the main peak is 500 meters above sea level. The trail is about 7 kilometers long and takes about 1 hour. It can be used to visit the Yuhuang Temple ruins and the Yudu Mountain. There are hundreds of acres of peony gardens at the foot of the mountain for viewing.

Standing on the top of Yuhuang, overlooking the entire Yanqing plain, the villages are densely packed, the fields are crisscrossed, and the mountains are surrounded.

3、Huapeng Mountain Trail

Located in Huapeng Village, Qianjiadian Town, the main peak is 592 meters above sea level. The trail is about 2 kilometers long and takes about 30 minutes. The vegetation is lush and the mountain flowers are blooming.

From the top of the mountain, you can see the panoramic view of Huapeng Village. At the foot of the mountain, there is a Guan Di Temple, steps, and railings, suitable for all ages, from youth to elderly. There are folk villages such as Longevity Ridge and Xiushui Bay nearby, providing convenient accommodation and dining.

4、Yunpu Gou Mountain Trail

Located north of Sanlizhuang Village, Jiuxian Town, the main peak is 1180 meters above sea level. The trail is about 7.5 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours. It has attractions such as “subalpine meadow” and cliff carvings. There are over 100 acres of “subalpine meadow” on the top of the mountain, with trickling streams; cliff carvings, many strange rocks in the gorge, and the “North Sky Pillar” giant rock is unique.

The road is rugged and suitable for young people to climb. There are folk villages such as the ancient city and the basin kiln nearby, providing convenient accommodation and dining.

5、Yingmeng Mountain Trail

Located north of Jinjiabao Village, Zhangshanying Town, the main peak is 1005 meters above sea level. You can visit the Yingmeng Temple. This temple complex is in Ming Dynasty style, with three courtyards, the mountain gate hall, the main hall, and the west courtyard gate. The main hall of the west courtyard has a green glazed tile roof, and the other houses all have traditional gray tile roofs.

Standing in front of the Yingmeng Temple, you can look out over the Guichuan plain, taking in everything at a glance. National Highway 110, like a ribbon, leads directly to Beijing. The Guishui River, winding like a green belt, flows westward, giving people endless reverie. You can find accommodation and dining nearby in villages such as Huangbai Temple, Hanhaozhuang, and Gucheng.

Located within the Zhenzhuanshui gully, the main peak is 900 meters above sea level, with a winding and gentle path. It is suitable for all ages, from youth to elderly. The vegetation is lush, the path winds and turns, the streams gurgle, and from the top of the mountain, you can see the panoramic view of Zhenzhuquan Village and the hundreds of acres of flower sea.

Close to nature, the scenery changes with every step you take. This national hiking trail is a standard trail built along the spring water, with endless scenery from beginning to end, and a winding mountain path.

7、Cimu Chuan Mountain Trail

Located south of Cimu Chuan Village, Dazhuangke Township, the main peak is 800 meters above sea level. The trail is about 3 kilometers long and takes about 40 minutes. It can be used to visit the “Red First Village” – Shatanggou, the former Changyan Joint County Government site, and other attractions. You can see the Manchu cultural exhibition hall and the Twenty-Four Filial Piety Picture wall at the foot of the mountain. You can hear the sound of the pine forest and smell the fragrance of mountain flowers on the mountain.

You can visit the Great Wall ruins and other attractions. The vegetation is lush, you can see the ancient Great Wall, and admire the wild apricot blossoms along the way.

This route is winding and gentle, suitable for all ages, from youth to elderly. Nearby, you can taste the “Baihe Fish Banquet” at the Baihe Reservoir.
