45 yuan, Nanjing City Park Annual Card can be used

Preferential Policies

1. Disabled persons are free to enter the park with valid ID.

2. Active military personnel are free to enter the park with valid ID.

3. Seniors aged 60 (including 60) to 69 are entitled to half-price tickets with valid ID; seniors aged 70 (including 70) and above are free to enter the park with valid ID.

4. Children under 6 years old (including 6 years old) or under 1.4 meters tall (including 1.4 meters) are free of charge, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

5. Full-time college students at undergraduate level and below are entitled to half-price tickets with valid ID.

3、Tour route

Blind Botanical Garden→Grass Garden→Aquatic Plant Garden→Botanical Museum→Fern Garden

The Blind Botanical Garden takes into account the special needs of blind people in terms of plant selection and facilities. It plants some non-toxic, thornless, fragrant, and oddly shaped plants, which can fully stimulate the sense of smell, touch, etc. to feel the charm of plants. 

The Grass Garden consists of 7 parts: dwarf wall courtyard area, lawn leisure area, variety corridor, weed area, crop area, pasture area, and ornamental grass display area. It mainly uses lawns and ornamental grasses for overall landscaping, and displays a variety of gramineous plants. 

The Aquatic Plant Garden mainly collects and preserves wild aquatic plant species in inland waters of East China, focusing on preserving a variety of aquatic plant species listed in the “National Key Protected Wild Plants and Animals List” that are naturally distributed in Jiangsu Province, such as Chinese water fern, lotus, Chinese water spinach, and wild water chestnut. It also collects and preserves more than 10,000 plants of families and genera such as Nymphaeaceae, Gramineae, Iridaceae, Lythraceae, and Araceae. 

The Botanical Museum is divided into 3 exhibition areas, collecting over 2,000 rare and exotic plants. The Tropical Rainforest Plant Area showcases the unique and strange landscapes of the tropical rainforest, such as strangling, solitary tree formation, buttress roots, and aerial gardens. The Tropical Economic Plant Area showcases tropical fruit trees, tropical economic plants, and tropical flowers that are closely related to human life. The Succulent Plant Area showcases about 1,000 rare and exotic succulents, such as sleeping bag, baobab tree, welwitschia mirabilis, large crested dragon, and euphorbia tirucalli. 

The Fern Garden collects and preserves nearly 300 species of terrestrial, lithophytic, and epiphytic ferns, with over 90 species cultivated in the open air. It also includes national key protected ferns such as golden doghair fern, Fujian Kannon-zase-ren, and Chinese water fern.

Subway

Take Nanjing Metro Line 2 to Muxuyuan Station and walk north for 10-15 minutes.

Bus

Take bus No. 20, 315, or 203 to “Nanjing Botanical Garden” station.
