1、Xianglu Mountain
Distance: About 113 kilometers from Harbin to Xianglu Mountain
Time: About 1 hour and 30 minutes by car
Self-driving route: Take the Hatong Expressway, get on the expressway from Jinjia in Harbin, and get off at the Binzhou Station at the Binxian exit.
Located at the southern end of Binxian County, it is a remnant of the Zhangguangcai Ridge, about 80 kilometers from Harbin. Xianglu Mountain covers a total area of 25,000 mu, with six main peaks, an elevation of 790 meters, and it still maintains its primitive ecology. It is the closest natural forest oxygen bar to Harbin.
Xianglu Mountain Attractions: The four major scenic areas include “Longmen”, a sacred land of Buddhism, “Fucun”, a northeastern characteristic residence, “Huaxiangyuan”, a elegant and luxurious area, “Landiequan”, a beautiful love story, and “Shiba Bay”, for water adventures. You can visit the magical “Unold Spring” and bring a bottle of spring water home for your loved ones. This is considered “divine water” by the local villagers and is said to cure all ailments.
2、Phoenix Mountain
Distance: Phoenix Mountain Forest Park is 120 kilometers away from Wuchang City and 220 kilometers away from Harbin city.
Time: About 5 hours by car.
Self-driving route: From Harping Road to Heida Highway (G202) – turn straight at the Lalinzhan fork (towards Wuchang) – cross Wuchang city – Shanhe Town – Qianjin Forest Farm.
Phoenix Mountain Forest Park covers an area of 50,000 hectares with a main peak elevation of 1690 meters. It is the highest peak in Heilongjiang Province. As a national 3A tourist attraction and a national photography base, it was awarded one of the “Top 10 Harbin Scenic Spots” in the 2008 Top 10 Scenic Spots Preferred by Citizens held by the Municipal Tourism Bureau.
Phoenix Mountain Forest Park Attractions: The South Phoenix Mountain Aerial Garden, North Phoenix Mountain China Snow Valley, and Baishibiao UFO Landing Site have been developed. Among them, the alpine garden tourism line includes eight rare landscapes: alpine wetland, alpine prostrate pine, alpine azalea, alpine stone sea, alpine “rice fields”, alpine unique birch, and alpine flora and fauna garden. The Wanmi Grand Canyon in the Grand Canyon Scenic Area is the largest canyon with the largest vertical drop and the longest extension north of the Yellow River in 14 provinces. The alpine stone sea and wetland are the highest stone sea and wetland in Heilongjiang Province.
3、Pingshan
Distance: Pingshan is 70 kilometers away from Harbin.
Time: About 40 minutes by car.
Self-driving route: Departing from Harbin, take the Harbin-Mudanjiang Expressway for 40 minutes to reach the tourist area.
Pingshan Tourist Area is both a hunting and sightseeing tourism base and the largest wild animal breeding base and rare medicinal material production base in Northeast China.
Pingshan Attractions: In the Yuan Forest Ecological Park, there are many attractions, including: Tuofengling, Jiangjunyan, Sunlight Bathing Area, Tongtiant Tower, Luyuan Pavilion, Mushroom Pavilion, Luyuan Pavilion, Tongtian Peak, Mantou Mountain, Luyuan Ridge, Luyuan Lake Deer, etc., making it a great oxygen bar.
4、Songfeng Mountain
Distance: Located in Shanhe Town, Acheng City, 45 kilometers south of Harbin City.
Time: It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes by car.
Self-driving route: Take the Three Big Power Road to Xiangjie – Harbin-Acheng Expressway – Songfeng Mountain Nature Reserve.
Songfeng Mountain covers an area of about 146 square kilometers and is a forest ecological nature reserve.
Songfeng Mountain Attractions: Songfeng Mountain is a Taoist holy land of the Jin and Qing dynasties. Songfeng Mountain is composed of the main peak, Yantongfeng, and a group of peaks with different shapes, such as Roudongfeng, Shizhangzui Feng, Qipanfeng, Shijingfeng, etc. The main peak is 627 meters above sea level, commonly known as Yantong Biaozi, which is steep and rugged. The branch peaks are shaped like breasts, and since ancient times, it has been known as the “Jin Yuan Rufen”. The five peaks on the north mountain are adjacent to each other, with strange rocks standing in rows, complementing each other. The mountain is covered with lush forests and abundant grass. There are many protruding ring peaks on the top of the mountain. At the foot of the beautiful Shijing Peak, there are still the remains of two ancient temples built during the Qing Dynasty during the Jiaqing period. This was a garden where the Jin Dynasty royal family enjoyed summer vacations and hunting.
5、Erlong Mountain
Distance: Located in Binxian County, 54 kilometers east of Harbin City.
Time: About 40 minutes by car.
Self-driving route: Departing from Harbin, take the Tongsan Expressway (also known as National Highway 010) to reach the destination.
Erlong Mountain Scenic Area features beautiful lake water, two green mountains extending into the lake, embracing the pearl-like small island, forming a rare scene of “Two Dragons Playing with the Pearl”.
Erlong Mountain Attractions: Along the 10-kilometer loop road around the lake, you can appreciate ten scenic spots. There are also high-altitude ropeways, summer sledding, mountain cableways, outdoor rock climbing, mini bungee jumping, crescent flying cars, paintball shooting, urban bullfighting, vintage cars, electric cars, ATV vehicles, go-karts, power paragliding, etc.
6、Ma’er Mountain
Distance: About 84 kilometers from Harbin to Ma’er Mountain
Time: It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car.
Self-driving route: Departing from Harbin, take the Harbin-Acheng Expressway – Harbin-Mudanjiang Expressway – Ma’er Mountain National Forest Park.
Located 84 kilometers from Harbin City, there is a rugged and beautiful mountain. Its shape is like a pointed felt hat. Legend has it that the hat of a god fell here and turned into a mountain peak, hence the name “Ma’er Mountain”. It has an elevation of 805 meters.
Ma’er Mountain Attractions: Ma’er Mountain is steep and rugged. Along the north slope, there is a forest path that can be climbed to the top. On the top of the mountain, there is a platform and a horseshoe-shaped spring water pool. In spring and summer, climb to the top of the mountain and look far into the distance. You can see rolling mountains, lush forests, the Ashi River winding below, clear river water, green trees and shade, birdsong and fragrant flowers, and the scenery is very beautiful.
7、Yima Mountain
Distance: About 70 kilometers from Harbin to Yima Mountain
Time: It takes about 70 minutes by car.
Self-driving route: Exit the city and take the highway bridge – turn at the Dagenzi roundabout – the junction of the old and new areas of Hulan – National Highway 101 Harbin-Zhaodong Highway – the gate of the National Forest Park Yima Mountain. The entire route is on national highways.
Yima Mountain National Forest Park is located in Bayan, the closest mountain to Harbin on the north bank of the Songhua River.
Yima Mountain Attractions: Along the way, you can visit Bayan Ancient City, the ancient city gate, ancient archway, Tuozi Peak, Dadinzishan Reservoir. If you climb to the top of the mountain and look into the distance, you can see the vast, interconnected agricultural scenery of fields and forests.
8、Yuquan Hunting Ground
Distance: About 55 kilometers from Harbin to Yuquan Hunting Ground
Time: It takes about 1 hour by car.
Self-driving route: Take the expressway (National Highway 302) to the Yuquan exit, then drive 9 kilometers ahead to reach the destination.
Harbin Yuquan Hunting Ground is currently the largest enclosed hunting ground in China, covering an area of 3700 hectares. It is located in the western foothills of the Zhangguangcai Ridge, the remnants of the Changbai Mountains in Heilongjiang Province. It is 62 kilometers away from Harbin City and 4 kilometers northeast of Yuquan Town, Acheng District, Harbin City.
Yuquan Hunting Ground Attractions: It is adjacent to the Songfeng Mountain Nature Reserve to the east, the Hongxing Reservoir Tourist Area to the west, and the beautiful Dayangshuling to the north. Covering a total area of 36 square kilometers, there are 17 peaks over 300 meters high in the hunting area, with a forest coverage rate of 80%. Spring water flows all year round in the mountains. The hunting area is rich in wild animal and bird resources. In summer, the lakes and mountains merge into one, attracting domestic and foreign tourists with its unique summer resort functions.
8、Hengtou Mountain
Distance: About 88 kilometers from Harbin to Hengtou Mountain
Time: It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car.
Self-driving route: Take the Harbin-Acheng Expressway, pass through Acheng city, and take the road leading to Hongxing Reservoir. There are signposts. Starting from 0 kilometers on the expressway, it is 88 kilometers away.
Hengtou Mountain National Forest Park covers a total area of 100,000 mu. It is known as Harbin’s back garden.
Hengtou Mountain Attractions: The park is divided into six scenic areas: Lingyin Mountain, Junwang Mountain, Jiulong Mountain, Wushu Ridge, Folk Custom Park, and Dianshuihu Original Forest. There are also seven major attractions: Red Leaf Valley, Colorful Butterfly Valley, Wild Deer Valley, Shizhu Peak, Xianrendong, Gushu Gorge, and Linhaixueyuan.
10、Huazishan
Distance: About 188 kilometers from Harbin to Huazishan
Time: It takes about 3 hours by car.
Self-driving route: Harbin – Binxi (after exiting the expressway toll station, go straight ahead, and at the T-junction, there is a sign for Bayan, turn right) – turn right at the T-junction after passing through Bayan city – turn left at the Changxing village T-junction.
Huazishan Forest Park is located in the mountainous area northwest of Tonghe County, 15 kilometers away from Tonghe County and 188 kilometers away from Harbin City. The Huazishan Scenic Area covers an area of 9257 hectares with an elevation of 689 meters. It is a national 3A tourist attraction. Huazishan is magical, majestic, primitive, and fresh, and is known as “Little Taishan”.
Huazishan Attractions: Standing on Huazishan, you can see the largest reservoir in the northern part of Tonghe County – Huazishan Reservoir. The water area of the reservoir is vast and spectacular. You can also visit the “Yuanjue Temple” located in the green mountains and trees to explore the Buddhist holy land. There is also a picking garden with a unique rural pastoral style. Tourists can personally experience the fun of ecological picking. At the starting point of the Huazishan plank road, there is an animal viewing area that gathers rare birds and beasts from the country.
