The Shisanling Forest Park Mangshan Scenic Area is located in the northeastern part of Changping District. It sits on the east side of the Shisanling Reservoir, covering a total area of 130,000 mu (about 8,666 hectares), of which 6,000 mu (about 400 hectares) are open to the public. It is the largest national forest park in Beijing.

The area features a primeval forest landscape with dense vegetation and a forest coverage rate of over 95%. The park’s highest peak reaches 659 meters. It is named Mangshan (Python Mountain) due to its undulating terrain resembling a giant python.

The stone sculpture of the Great Buddha, the jungle plank road, and the Prayer Corridor are the park’s highlights. The lush green mountains stretch as far as the eye can see, with layers of greenery extending endlessly.

Standing on the Mangshan Viewing Platform, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding beautiful mountains and waters as well as the entire Changping urban area. Looking back at Mangshan, you can see the entire mountain range.

3、Yinshan Pagoda Forest
