Istanbul is a typical European town, belonging to the European part of Turkey. It is a city full of history, with an ancient and rugged feel, having experienced various wars and humanity during the European Middle Ages. Below is a travel guide to Istanbul for you.
Looping “Istanbul” on repeat
I’ve been to many places
I came to Istanbul
It’s like a fairy tale
There are churches and castles
Busy searching every day
What I really want
But I found myself lost and couldn’t find my way back
Final Draft
Tools: Bao Hong Pure Cotton Notebook (can be replaced with sketch paper), Schmincke Solid Watercolor 24 Colors, 2B Pencil, Wu Zhu Fountain Pen
PS: Don’t get carried away by tools. For example, Schmincke is incredibly expensive, I only bought it after practicing a lot.
If you’re a beginner and use it right away, you won’t know how good the current paint is without experiencing inferior paint, you understand??
Let’s see, I’m still afraid that you will overthink and think that the poor painting is a problem with the tools. Let’s give an alternative solution.
Alternative Tool: Sketch paper, Sakura 12 Colors Solid Watercolor, Pencil, Small Brush. (Beginners can refer to this)
Line Drawing
1. The line drawing is not complicated. Seemingly complex shapes start from a point, and even the longest lines start from one end point.
2. Determine the central building in the picture, extend downwards, to the left and right, or interweave. The picture will spread out as you expect.
3. The coloring process can refer to the previous article “European Town”. Paint similar colors together. For example, the red roofs in the picture are painted all at once before painting other parts.
I didn’t put a breakdown of the color application, the color difference really makes me want to climb a tree, it makes me angry.
4. I used masking fluid for some plant trunks. First time experimenting. When mixing masking fluid, you can add other colors to help distinguish the picture (because the fluid is white).
This kind of technical discussion is not recommended for beginners to get led astray. Beginners always buy a lot of equipment before painting, but it’s useless.
5. Finally, add details. Roof tiles, small windows, shadows under the roof, plant trunks, etc.
6. Done, start showing off
