Cost Guide

Car Expenses: 822 km in six days, fuel cost 396, no expressway tolls since we didn’t drive on any expressways.

Accommodation Expenses: 577 yuan. We mainly stayed in farmhouses and homestays. Due to the impact of the epidemic, there were not many tourists, and the rooms were not in short supply. Guyuan, Datan Town, and Yanqing have relatively complete tourism facilities and more tourists. We avoided the weekends, and there were many accommodation options of different levels. There are more choices. There were fewer tourists in Zhenglan Banner and Dolon, and there weren’t many people even on weekends. We chose 2-3 hotels online, and only checked in after viewing the rooms in person.

Ticket Expenses: 648 yuan/person. Luanhe Shenyun 60 yuan, Yuan Shangdu Ruins 60 yuan, Dancing Horse World 238 yuan, Colorful Forest 160 yuan, Shanxi Guild Hall 40 yuan, Da Khan Palace 90 yuan. (We didn’t enter Kulen Naor Tourist Area, Tianma Flying Town, and Hailiutu National Wetland Park because they mainly offer amusement projects.)

Meal Expenses: 651 yuan. We ate Mongolian food breakfast and dinner at Kehan Tara in Zhenglan Banner, and Mongolian food dinner at Gerile in Dolon. We had a deep understanding of Mongolian food. Other places had casual meals, local specialties like oat noodles, etc.

Other Expenses: Snacks, fruits, drinks, etc., 180 yuan.

Total: 3100 yuan.
