Shanghai Dongping National Forest Park is located in the north-central part of Chongming Island, covering a total area of 5,400 mu, with a forest coverage rate of 90%. Shanghai Dongping National Forest Park has flat terrain and low elevation, with slightly alkaline soil. It is the largest plain artificial forest in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The forest park is rich in plant resources, with nearly a thousand species of trees, shrubs, vines, and aquatic plants. Among them, there are over 100 species of medicinal plants alone.

The Xisha Mingzhu Lake Scenic Area is divided into two parts: Xisha Wetland Park and Mingzhu Lake Park.
The Xisha Wetland Park, covering a total area of 4,500 mu, is a natural wetland with natural tidal phenomena and a large area of tidal flat forest. The “Xisha Sunset” is a must-see in Xisha.
