This is my first time traveling alone, my first time traveling alone for a week, and my first time visiting this unfamiliar place that is my utopia. It’s a bit lonely and exciting. It’s lonely because I see beautiful scenery and no one to share it with. It’s exciting because I’ve been thinking about this place for so long and now I’m finally here. Besides feeling incredible, I’m even more happy. Yunnan — I’m here!
Day 1: Departure for Yunnan
Xiaoshan Airport → Changshui Airport 513 + checked baggage 80 (This Kunpeng Airlines is really a rip-off, free checked baggage is only 5KG, no meals, small seats, checked baggage fee is not much cheaper)
Changshui Airport → Kunming Railway Station 25 (Direct bus, first bus at 5am)
Kunming Railway Station → Dali 97
Above the clouds
Day 2: Dali
Railway Station → Homestay (I almost got tricked by the 5 yuan taxi at the station. Don’t believe drivers who charge 5 yuan to go anywhere in Yunnan.)
Three Pagodas Ticket 62
Accommodation: Homestays in Dali and Lijiang are cheap and convenient. The place we stayed was near Dali Ancient Town, a few minutes walk away. So when the sun set, we liked to go for a walk.

Day 3: Erhai Lake
Cycling around Erhai Lake
The architecture on the island has a lot of character
Day 4: Lijiang Ancient Town
Dali → Lijiang (train) 34 (Rest during the day, went to Lijiang Ancient Town at night)
Day 5: Lashihai
Lashihai Ticket 10 Boat 50
Day 6: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain
Ticket 65 Cable car + bus 200 Clothes 50
(Although the homestay owner didn’t recommend us to go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain because there’s no snow in June, I still recommend going. After all, for me who has never taken a cable car or seen snow, even a little bit of ice on the top of the mountain is worth it. Then I didn’t buy an oxygen tank, as long as you eat something high in calories, my body won’t be short of oxygen, and regular exercise will come in handy at this time. )

Day 7: Written on the return journey
I wrote this article on the way back, more as a memento. I’m thinking about what the purpose of my trip was, the unfamiliar environment, what was the point of my insistence on graduating from college? That was my fear when I was faced with an unfamiliar environment. But I don’t think that way anymore. Because in this unfamiliar environment, I find myself growing up slowly. In fact, when people are in trouble, they are much stronger than you imagine, and I experienced this deeply this time. This trip had a huge impact on me and was very worthwhile.
