Gongyu Rock is located in Zhejiang Province, a very good leisure place. Everything here seems to be close to nature, making your spare time more fulfilling. There are fewer tourists here, but the scenery is excellent and the food is delicious. Below is a travel guide to Gongyu Rock.
Immersed in work and study all the time, it is not necessarily efficient. Although this National Day broke all the original plans, it was a rewarding experience.
For the first time I experienced a self-driving tour. Thanks to Dayong Ge and Fan Jie, we drove straight to Taizhou, Zhejiang on the highway. We avoided the peak tourist areas, but also enjoyed a different kind of scenery.
Blue sky and white clouds, sunshine, towering mountains, lush trees, crystal clear river water, dancing butterflies, all of these will make you unconsciously exclaim: “How good!” It reminded me of what Peter said to Jesus when Jesus was transfigured on the mountain: “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” From time to time, I would have this thought, but the people who were with me were not willing to live in these beautiful mountains for the rest of their lives, because they couldn’t see the world outside the mountains. Occasionally, I would also wonder, isn’t a leisurely rural life good? Why do we have to work so hard to get a foothold in the city? People’s desires increase with what they see. The people who have lived in the mountains for most of their lives may have gotten used to the life of working from sunrise to sunset. They are far away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy peace, but it is also very beautiful!
Through travel, you will understand different people’s personalities and discover the advantages of each person. For example: Sheng Hui Jie picked up many beautiful stones, Hui Ge’s physical strength is very good, and you also learned that spicy strips are actually a favorite of many people. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Discovering more strengths and encouraging others is a great encouragement to others.
In Panxi Ancient Town, I saw the sunset for ten seconds. The setting sun slowly and shyly went down the mountain. As you walk slowly, you will find that the people in the town are all busy with their own lives, running small shops, playing mahjong, and the pace of life is much slower than the daily rush hour in the city. Every city, perhaps the most distinctive feature is their dialect. It seems that speaking a dialect is a regional privilege. On the road, or in a strange city, a distant foreign land, when you hear a familiar dialect, you will immediately feel closer. There are some local people who take advantage of the situation to make money along the way, but more are those with human touch, such as the uncle and aunt in the people’s guesthouse.
The most unforgettable part of the trip was the last day. We went to Gongyu Village. Uncharacteristically, we didn’t go to the famous scenic spots, but went hiking. The narrow path, the dense forest, and the swaying bamboo bridge, I felt very tired at the bottom of the mountain, but because of a group of people, plus my own competitive personality, how could I fall behind? So in the future, when you encounter difficulties, don’t say you can’t do it right away, just keep moving forward. Most of the road is made of natural stone, with occasional two or three steps of concrete steps. Every step needs to be firm, otherwise, you may fall or slip and roll down the cliff if you are not careful. We walked and stopped, but we couldn’t sit down, because once we sat down, it would be difficult to get up again. Occasionally, if we were tired, we would stop and eat some fruit to replenish our energy before continuing on our way. I think this is also true on this road of heaven. Occasionally, we are really tired, weary, or injured. We can stop and rest for a while, but we must not sit down in this world full of temptations. Because once we sit down, we may not be able to get up again.
May the Lord help us, not to sit down until we reach our goal, because we must continue to move forward, in order to keep up with the pace of those who love the Lord. Although it was very tiring to climb, the more difficult it was, the more beautiful the scenery became. The towering peaks at the top of the mountain are magnificent, shrouded in clouds and mist. Occasionally, there is the sound of laughter from the farmhouses, as well as the golden rice fields, the terraced fields, and every scene. Standing at different positions and angles, you will see something different. Life is the same. Finally, I understood what it means: “From a side view, it looks like a ridge; from the front, it looks like a peak; from afar, it looks high; from close up, it looks low; each is different.” Finally, we conquered another dangerous peak, completely due to the encouragement and urging of my friends. So I kept moving forward. Although every step was very difficult, I was completely climbing up by grabbing stones in the steepest part. But it was a profound experience. When you are at your most difficult, you need someone to give you a hand. Even though I am a graduate student, there are still friendly reminders from strangers, as well as people letting me pass and giving me advice. Not everyone is suitable to stand at the top of the mountain, because the wind is strong at the top, and every step needs to be careful. Life is the same. It is not that everyone is suitable for high official positions and wealth and prosperity, although many people hope for this. But you also need to know that the wind is also strong. May the Lord help me, I don’t seek a poetic life, but to live my life given by God into poetry, because that is the life that is most suitable for me.
There was also an old man of 79, selling water and canes at the top of the mountain. A bottle of water was 5 yuan, but it was really not expensive, because there were no cable cars, no vehicles, and he needed to carry the water up the mountain purely by physical strength. So we chatted a little. He comes every Saturday and Sunday, or during national holidays. He doesn’t have a high-end wallet, so he uses a white plastic bag for shopping to hold money. He is wearing yellow sneakers. Every time a tourist comes to buy water, he takes the money tremblingly, uses his calloused hands to find the change. A Red Bull is 9 yuan, and the tourist gave him 10 yuan, saying that he was also quite hard-working, and didn’t need to give him change. But the old man still gave back the change he should have given back. After much persuasion, he accepted the 1 yuan. Some tourists even said that he shouldn’t sell it for 9 yuan anymore, just sell it for 10 yuan. At that time, I was still thinking in my heart how could there be such people. But then I thought again, if someone gave me 200 yuan a day, I probably wouldn’t do this job, and I couldn’t do this job. Maybe if I didn’t sell it all at night, I would have to carry it back down the mountain. Everyone has their own way of survival, there is no need to discriminate, nor to look down on anyone. As long as it is earned through labor, it is worthy of respect.
The trip is over. Now I should get back to my studies and work for the next stage. Keep working hard! Cherish the happy life we have now, and be grateful to God.
