VI. Scenic Spot Introduction
Located at the junction of Songzhou County and Jiuzhaigou County, it can be seen on the way back to Chengdu from Jiuzhaigou. It was originally a high mountain lake, but later due to geological changes, the outlet expanded, so local people called it “Ganhaizi”. In fact, “Ganhaizi” is not dry, the surrounding mountains are covered with dense forests, the streams in the lake are winding, and the grass is like a velvet carpet covering the ground. Wildflowers bloom in summer and autumn, and herds of cattle, sheep and horses graze in the area. In winter and spring, the whole area is a deep yellow, which contrasts beautifully with the surrounding snow-capped mountains and red leaves.
The scenic spot has a group of lakes composed of Jinxiniuhai, Fangcaohai, and Jiuqucaihe, with dense rivers and waterfalls in the surrounding mountains and valleys, dense primitive forests, and obvious vertical distribution patterns of alpine plants. After the scenic spot was built, not only can it be used for sightseeing, but also hot air balloons, rafting, horse riding jungle exploration and many other entertainment projects are set up.
