1. Shanghai Sheshan National Forest Park

Shanghai Sheshan National Forest Park is located in Songjiang District, a historic town in the western suburbs of Shanghai, covering an area of 401 hectares and 30 kilometers from the city center. The park has 12 peaks, which stretch from southwest to northeast, winding for 13 kilometers, making the flat Shanghai plain present a picturesque mountain forest landscape. 6. Shanghai Chenshan

Among the nine peaks of Songjun, it is named after its location in the “Chen” position (i.e. southeast). 7. Shanghai Xueshan

8. Shanghai Shegongshan
Shegongshan has a long history and rich culture, and is the second mountain among the nine peaks of Songjun. It is located in Sheshan Town, Songjiang District, Shanghai, south of Fenghuangshan, about 11.5 kilometers north of the county town. The main peak is 10 meters above sea level, with lush forests, and is the smallest forest area among the twelve mountains of the Sheshan nine peaks. Because its shape is like a scroll, it is right at the tip of the phoenix’s beak. The ancients compared Shegongshan to a scroll of treasure books, and together with Fenghuangshan, it was metaphorically called “Danfengxian Shu”. Zhu Sigong’s “Nine Peaks Ode” in the Qing Dynasty records: “Kangsangzi (Shegong) of the Qin Dynasty lived in seclusion here, and this is the source of the mountain’s name.” Shegong wrote “Kangsangzi” in three volumes. Originally, the second peak of the Nine Peaks was Lu Baoshan, facing Shegongshan across the stream. There was little stone and rich soil. People competed for it. It was leveled in the Ming Dynasty. Later generations then replaced Lu Baoshan with Shegongshan as the second peak.

9. Shanghai Jinaoshan
Jinaoshan is located 2.5 kilometers east of Chongming County town, adjacent to the famous Shouan Temple on the sea. It is an artificial mountain, named after the mountain where Song Gaozong went to. The mountain body of this mountain has long collapsed. The current Jinaoshan was rebuilt in the seventh year of Kangxi (1668). The mountain has nine peaks, with the middle peak being the highest. 10. Shanghai Fenghuangshan
Fenghuangshan has a long history and rich culture. It is located about 11 kilometers north of Songjiang Town, Songjiang District, with Tongbo in the east and Yuping (Xueshan) in the west.
