Due to the hasty trip, I had some small troubles. I paid for the car fare with WeChat in Kunming, and I thought I could get cash at the high-speed rail station, but there was none! Fortunately, the public toilet at the entrance was free, otherwise I would have to discuss with the toilet uncle, “Can I pay with Alipay or WeChat?”
Actually, I had no idea where to go. I had been to Pu’erhei Lake before and now I just wanted to walk around the lake. I wanted to see the filming location of “Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms”, but I thought it was silly. I wanted to go to Shede Grassland just by hearing its name, but it seemed far away. Then I asked the driver, and she suggested going to Shede Grassland. She would take me there, accompany me to climb the mountain and take me back. Although it was against my goal of quietly walking around, I was very excited. So, my goal was set: ATM, let’s go!
The driver asked me if I had eaten. She said that it was very remote there and there was nothing. It’s better to eat something first. Then she took me to a beef powder restaurant next to the vegetable market. The process of eating rice noodles here is completely different from other places I have been to! But it was really delicious, and I couldn’t find it back home. I ate so much that I couldn’t bear to leave.
It is about 170 kilometers from Qubai County to Shede Grassland. Most of the road is ordinary rural highway, and the road is even more rugged after entering the wind power station area. I was chatting with the driver and didn’t think it was too far. I slowly drove to the top of the mountain, looking at the towering mountains and the tall generators at my feet, I felt a sense of “looking down at all the mountains”.
I climbed Yangxiong Mountain with the driver. It is said to be the favorite place for local people to visit. Actually, climbing a mountain has only a little fun: persistence on the way and the scenery on the top. The scenery on the top of the mountain is excellent. When I reached the top, looking at the mountains at my feet, I felt a little dazed and flustered. Such a vast world, such a short life.
The rolling hills, windmills, horses, and cows are all the same as the grassland in the picture book.
The white horse is extremely fierce and super fierce. After chasing away a couple, it confronted this single dog. I was about to strike a beautiful pose when I saw it raise its head, narrow its eyes, and twitch its nose. I was so scared that I ran as fast as I could.
I went to another filming location of “Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms” along the way, it was very boring, just a few dead trees.
The driver treated me to a bowl of rice noodles before going to the station, then I packed the leftover rice tofu from the owner and went to the beef noodle restaurant in the morning to buy two pounds of beef. Yes, this trip was very fulfilling.
