Leshan · Jinkou River Grand Canyon
This is one of the “Top Ten Most Beautiful Canyons in China” by “China National Geography”, a rare natural heritage. It is 12 kilometers long, with an average valley width of 150 meters, the largest valley depth of 2646 meters, which is the practice of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, which is nearly a thousand meters deeper than the Grand Canyon of the United States. This was once a military base, foreigners were prohibited from entering. Now the scenic spot is open to domestic tourists for free. You can drive, hike, and take a boat tour on the Dadu River here.
Leshan · Da Wa Mountain National Wetland Park
This place is called “the most charming natural park in the world” by the American natural scientist Berbel. Da Wa Mountain has an altitude of 3236 meters. Looking from the wetland park, it is like a giant Noah’s Ark, which is very spectacular. At present, the “Turning Flowers” in Deer Ridge in the wetland park are blooming. You can also go to enjoy the flowers.
Gulu Village
Gulu Village is located above the canyon cliffs at the entrance of the Dadu River, which is called “the village on the cliff”. There is an Yi ethnic village with about 500 people. The altitude climbs from 500 meters on the Dadu River to 1200 meters in Gulu Village, which takes about an hour and a half.
More than two years ago, the aerial cableway with a straight-line distance of 750 meters, spanning the Dadu River Canyon, with a drop of nearly 800 meters, officially opened. Now it takes three minutes to reach Gulu Village by cable car.
Victory Village
It has a history of 300 years. It is isolated on the cliff of Dadu River Grand Canyon at an altitude of more than 1,600 meters. Since 2004, after more than ten years, the villagers have moved from the “cloud” to Jinkou Grand Canyon. There is the Tongxin Bridge connecting Leshan and Liangshan Prefecture nearby. One side of the bridge is Leshan, and the other is Liangshan Prefecture. There is also the Railway Soldier Museum that witnesses history nearby. You can also visit the only tunnel station in China – Guancunba Railway Station.
