Self-driving Tour Strategy from Shanghai to Xiamen

Xiamen is a place worth traveling and exploring. It has many famous attractions, including Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University, both of which are well-known throughout the country. Located by the sea, Xiamen is very prosperous and has a very high standard of living. Here is a self-driving tour strategy from Shanghai to Xiamen.

Shanghai____1003.3km____Xiamen, this journey is quite a distance, right?

It took us through 60 tunnels.

From continuous rain, to a sunny sky and flowers blooming everywhere, spending the night in the tranquil and secluded Gulangyu Island, the sea breeze mixed with the fragrance of flowers, looking up, the bright moon was hanging high in the sky.

【The bright moon is hanging high in the sky, a mirror rising,
The ethereal sounds of the clouds are silent.
Splitting the autumn colors, a full circle,
Accompanying the celestial path for thousands of miles, shining bright.】

Some people say that life should be as brilliant as a summer flower, but perhaps it is only after many years that we realize that ordinary peace is the only answer. Just like this night, even though there are dazzling neon lights, bustling crowds, and lively music and dancing across the street, I’m not interested at all. The starry river reflected in your eyes is the paradise I haven’t seen.

It’s been a long time since I drove for so long, I got off the highway and took a rest in Wenzhou. I found that the roads were crowded and there were a lot of luxury cars.

Parking was so hard to find, I searched for a long time before finally finding a parking spot for 30 yuan/night. The hotel subsidized 15 yuan, so I was quite lucky.

The next morning at 9 o’clock, we continued our journey south. Along the way, there were endless green mountains on one side and the sea on the other. We passed through 66 tunnels. Around 4 pm, we arrived near Xiamen University.

Besides Gulangyu Island, we went to Huli Mountain Fort and Zhongshan Street for a walk. We only took a picture in front of Zengcuo’an, it felt no different from Chenghuang Temple and Qibao Old Street. Other places, we just went wherever we felt like going.

We happened to meet a couple taking wedding photos. Being able to hold hands and walk into the hall is enough to make people envious.

Let’s all come and collect seashells!

Besides Gulangyu Island, it’s also good to drive along the Ring Road. Some people say that cycling around is the best experience. I’m not physically fit, so I didn’t cycle. After parking the car, I just walked along the beach. The seawater was better than Sanjia Port and Jinshan Beach, but it was also a bit yellow.

5:47 pm, on the way to the Ring Road. This photo is a real mess. The dominant color is a weird blue, with five red 13s appearing prominently. Could it be that: I am the number 13 in Shanghainese, a random shot, tears streaming down my face…

Zengcuo’an is very close to the beach, it’s on the Ring Road. I just took a picture from across the street, I didn’t want to go alone, so I didn’t go.

Back to have lunch, then go to Zhongshan Street. If you like seafood, you can eat your fill, the prices are very affordable.

I later heard that Zhongshan Street is very popular, so I planned to go there for a walk. I felt that this place was similar to Nanjing Road in Shanghai, both were bustling with people. The difference is that it has a bit more artistic flair than Nanjing Road. Look at the picture, you’ll see.

On the morning of my return to Shanghai, I went to Xiamen University. I’m not a student of Xiamen University. I wanted to see the tunnel. I entered from the main gate and walked straight to the end.

Love is inseparable. A temporary separation is for a better reunion. Perhaps when we meet again, we will both have become the person the other loves most…

Pebbles fall into the pond, creating ripples.
Even my breathing becomes cautious.
I dreamt that
I carried a lantern
Standing between gods and demons.
I wanted to
Give you light and warmth in the night,
Just like people in love.
But you packed your bags
And went to a distant land
Seeking freedom and faith
Leaving your mark in the most beautiful time.
Perhaps many years later
You’ve seen through the world’s prosperity.
I wonder if you will stay with me to see the quiet flow of time?
Goodbye, Xiamen! Goodbye, Xiamen University! Goodbye, Gulangyu Island!
