Shanghai Fangta Park is a great place to visit. Every holiday season, many people go there to play. There are many attractions to visit inside, and below, the editor will briefly introduce the attractions inside, see how many you have visited.
1、Fangta
It is a brick and wood structure, nine-level square, 42.5 meters high. In terms of shape and structure, it inherits the style of Tang Dynasty brick towers. Most of the bracket sets are preserved from the Song Dynasty; the moon beam above the vault door, the Lohan beams and eaves beams on the outer eaves are all original, which is one of the few ancient towers in Jiangnan that preserves the original components, the tower on top of the Fangta The spire is 7.85 meters high. It was rebuilt from 1974 to 1977, restoring the waist eaves, flat seats, railings, etc. Songjiang Fangta is elegant in shape and delicate and graceful, which is rare in ancient buildings in southern China. It is one of the best-preserved ancient towers in China and has become a symbol of the ancient city of Songjiang.
2、Screen Wall
Facing the tower on the south side, you can see a Ming Dynasty screen wall, which is a brick-carved architectural building with artistic value. Above it, there are finely carved beasts, trees, flowers and precious objects. In the middle is a giant beast, with deer antlers, lion tail, dragon scales, and cow hooves. It opens its mouth wide, revealing sharp teeth, and opens its bell-like eyes, showing a fierce dynamic. Looking at its upright double horns, it looks like a dragon. The other animals and flowers and precious objects surrounding this giant beast will remind people of the mythological realm in ancient times. It is said that this monster is called “Greedy”, and it is insatiable, and it wants to eat everything. One day, it saw the red sun by the sea, and it pounced fiercely and eventually died in the sea.
3、Tianfei Palace
There is a magnificent palace north of Fangta Garden. Originally, it was the main hall of Tianhou Palace on the north bank of Henan Road Bridge in Shanghai. It is the only remaining building in Tianhou Palace. Because of its location in a cramped environment, it was surrounded by a school building. In order to preserve the ancient relics, it was rebuilt in Fangta Park to restore the ancient architectural style. The Tianfei Palace in the garden was originally the Shunji Temple, located in the Sixteen Shops near Xiaodongmen. It was destroyed in 1853 and rebuilt in 1883 on the head of Henan Road Bridge on the Suzhou River, named Tianhou Palace. In 1980, it was moved to Fangta Garden and named Tianfei Palace. In 2002, the cultural connotation and facilities of Tianfei Palace’s Pujiang Mazu were restored, and it was consecrated in September of the same year. The main hall of Tianfei Palace is handsome, with flying eaves and corners, a flat base, a wide staircase, and a majestic and majestic appearance, exuding a solemn atmosphere of a temple. The main hall covers an area of 330 square meters, 17 meters high, with brick and wood structure, exquisite and gorgeous carvings, reflecting the architectural characteristics of the late Qing Dynasty.
4、Wangshen Bridge
Located 100 meters southeast of Fangta on a small river. According to the county annals of the fourth year of Shaoxi in the Southern Song Dynasty (1193), “Wangshen Bridge is located 400 paces southeast of the county,” which proves that the bridge existed before the Southern Song Dynasty. Wangshen Bridge is a flat bridge, with a bridge deck made of Wukang stone from Zhejiang, slightly arched, and its lines are very smooth. There is a row of round tenon eyes on the horizontal beams above the bridge piers, which are the remains of the early beams, which shows that the bridge is a wooden and stone structure bridge supported by wooden beams. There are lotus-shaped patterns engraved on both ends of the stone beams on the bridge piers, which are extremely simple and elegant. When the park was built, a stone slab flat beach about 10 square meters was built near the bridge on the small river, so tourists can admire this ancient bridge from under the bridge.
5、Lanrui Hall
Located at the western end of Fangta. The hall was originally located at the east side of Baojia Bridge on Zhongshan West Road in Songjiang Town. It is said to be a Ming Dynasty building. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was the residence of Zhu Chun, the governor of Jiangxi, so it is also called Zhujia Hall. The inscription “Lanrui Hall” was inscribed by Zhang Xianghe, Minister of Works in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1796-1820), but it no longer exists. Because some of the beams and columns of this building are made of nanmu, locals call it nanmu hall. The hall is five bays wide, seven frames deep, with a hard mountain top and a feeding dragon ridge. The beams, rafters, and rafters of the hall are not painted, and the entire building is simple, elegant and majestic.
