Jeju Island is truly a paradise on earth~
I never expected it to be so beautiful before going there!
It was a trip that exceeded my expectations. I finally understood the happiness that everyone talks about when they say “pretend to be in Jeju Island.”
This trip took me to
📍Central-Jeju City area;
📍Western Songaksan Mountain, Marado Island and other scenic spots;
📍Southern-Jungmun Tourist Area;
📍Eastern Seopjikoji, aquarium and other scenic spots;
With the Jeju City area as the starting point, I took a chartered car tour of the east, west and south routes.
In 4 days, I hiked up mountains, watched fish in the aquarium, strolled along the jelly sea, wandered around the black reef, encountered the sunset, checked in on food, relaxed in cafes, shopped, took photos in hanbok, and experienced everything. It was beautiful scenery, fun, delicious food, and great photos, all in one. I discovered a different way to play in Jeju Island. It was so much fun and so relaxing!
Day1 West Route: Airport-Aewol Coast Road (Jelly Sea)-lazypump Cafe (brunch)-Sinsungak (play+watch sunset)-That House BBQ. Aewol Branch (dinner)-Hotel
Day2 East Route: Hamdeok Beach (Jelly Sea)-Hamdeok Hamburger 307 (lunch)-Aqua Planet Jeju Aquarium-Seopjikoji (meadow+black reef+sea)-Sanjiwool Restaurant Sashimi (dinner)-Hotel
Day3 South Route: Jungmun area souvenir shops-That House BBQ. Jungmun Branch (lunch)-Take a boat tour of Marado Island (didn’t go, but it gave me a reason to come back next time)-Hike up Songaksan Mountain-Olle Madang Grilled Fish. Sanbangsan Branch (dinner)-Moseulpo Sunset (beautiful fire clouds)-Jeju Leechi Hotel
Day4 Central Route: Leechi Hotel overlooking the sea (little Hawaii)-Jeju Soonpung Hangover Soup (brunch)-Hanbok photo shoot-Airport
For the 4-day, 3-night itinerary on the island, I chose to take a chartered car tour
With the central Jeju City area as the starting point, I visited the west, east, and south routes in turn.
Those with more time can choose to take buses or taxis.
Note that Jeju Island does not have a subway system.
📍 Aewol-eup: Clear jelly sea, I was blown away by the beauty on the first day I arrived
On the first day I arrived, I went to Aewol-eup. I mainly walked along the coastline and took photos. I spent some time in the cafes. Aewol is very gentle, and the waves are slow. Every street leads to the sea. The romantic atmosphere is full.
The long coastline, the endless azure jelly sea, the black reefs, the white sandy beaches, the green plants, combined with the blue sky, white clouds, and sunshine, are as beautiful as a painting!
Strolling, stopping, feeling the sea breeze, basking in the sun, it’s so pleasant!
When you get tired, you can just find a cafe to rest your feet. Most of the cafes here are lined up along the coastline. You can eat dessert, look at the sea view, and take photos. It’s really chill~
📍Lazypump: Cafe facing the sea
Lazypump is a three-story detached cafe.
It was once a seafood farm, but it has now been converted into a cafe.
The interior design is mainly industrial wasteland style.
The large glass windows on the 2nd and 3rd floors face the sea. There is a lighthouse on the sea. Order a coffee and dessert, face the sea, and relax. With such a beautiful view, you can really sit there for an afternoon.
There are large stretches of volcanic rock reefs by the sea behind the cafe, and a piano. From the 3rd floor, you can take photos of it, which is very photogenic. You can easily capture a “world’s end apocalyptic style.”

📍Sinsungak: Purple reeds and orange cars at sunset
As we drove away from Sinsungak, we encountered a cute orange car at a turn. At this time, the setting sun had dyed the sky in layers of orange. Tourists were all taking pictures.
We couldn’t help but stop and order a sweet and sour orange juice to enjoy the sunset slowly falling. I wish time could be frozen at this moment.

The second day’s itinerary was all about watching the sea and fish, strolling along the jelly sea, and wandering around the black reefs. I not only encountered stunning mountains and seas, but also ate “luxury” sashimi. It was a feast for the eyes and the stomach.
📍 Hamdeok: Sunshine, beer, burgers, jelly sea, and freedom
The first stop in the morning was Hamdeok Beach. The sunshine, the beach, the jelly sea, the black reefs, it’s so beautiful!
I played in the jelly sea, climbed the black reefs, basked in the warm sunshine, and listened to the sound of the waves and the wind~
I also strolled around the streets and shopped.
Finally, I went to eat delicious burgers and drink delicious drinks. Of all the countries I’ve travelled to, this is the first time I’ve sat in a hamburger shop for an afternoon. The decor is Hawaiian style, so beautiful!
The entrance is also artistic and cute. You can see the jelly sea from inside the shop. At that moment, I realized that freedom and relaxation have a form. All your worries are forgotten, no rush, no rush~
Completely enjoying the freedom and happiness of the moment. This is how life should be.
You can also take your burger out to the beach in front of the shop. Please be careful when crossing the road.
The shop also offers free charging, which is very thoughtful.
Although it’s a hamburger shop, it’s not American fast food, but handmade burgers made to order. The black pork burger and the shrimp burger are both delicious. I recommend ordering them.
I’ve summarized the address information for you below:
🍔Korean name: 버거 307 함덕

📍Address: 제주 제주시 조천읍 조함해안로 504 에벤에셀호텔 1층 103호
📍AquaPlanet Jeju Aquarium
The second stop today was the most beautiful aquarium, Aquaplanet.
It’s actually the filming location of the popular Korean drama “The Legend of the Blue Sea.” I really regret not coming here sooner!!
It’s near Seopjikoji, so you can visit both in one trip.
Aqura Planet Aquarium has 3 floors. The main tank on the basement floor is the largest in Asia. You can admire the fish from different angles, as if you were watching a huge 3D “water screen” movie. It’s very impressive!
I was so happy to be up close and personal with the marine creatures~
There are also ocean-themed performances at different times of the day, which are perfect for families with children to watch.
There’s also a special exhibition on “Yumi’s Cells” recently (the one starring the lovely Kim Go-eun). It’s cute and adorable.
【Address Information Tips】:

📍Address: 제주 서귀포시 성산읍 섭지코지로 95
📍Seopjikoji: Stunning mountain and sea with meadows and black reefs
If you could only go to one place in Jeju Island, you have to choose Seopjikoji. It’s the place that I’ve been thinking about the most since my trip to Jeju Island. The vast Pacific Ocean is right in front of you. The azure sea crashes against the black reefs, creating waves of breathtaking beauty~
The horses are leisurely grazing, enjoying themselves~
Against the backdrop of the vast meadows, the atmosphere is unique. You can also wait for a sunset here. All the beautiful elements come together to create a scene that feels like the wind from Northern Ireland has blown here.
There were very few Chinese tourists here. Most of them were Korean locals who came to check in. It’s very local.
It is said that this is also the filming location of “Endless Love.”
After admiring the stunning sunset, we decided to go back to the city for dinner. We chose a Korean sashimi restaurant on the way.
When we got to the restaurant, we were truly impressed.
📍OMG: I ate sashimi with gold leaf!
The dishes in the set menu were spread out over a large table. There were several types of Jeju Island specialty fish in the sashimi platter, all of them in season. They were super fresh and had no fishy smell at all. With different sauces, you could taste different flavors. It was truly satisfying!!
The restaurant also decorated it with edible gold leaf. Emma, the level is instantly more luxurious. I really regret not eating this last time I was in Korea. When the abalone + conch platter was brought out, I was also amazed at first glance.
The abalone and conch were huge and had tender, juicy meat. They were chewy and made a crunching sound when you bit into them. It was truly a feast for the taste buds.
The set menu also includes grilled black pork, all kinds of fried food, crab meat rice, grilled fish, fish soup…
Those who don’t like to eat raw food can just have a warm bowl of fish soup to warm their stomachs~
This restaurant can be considered the king of value for money. We ordered a set menu for 5 people, and it was only 200 yuan per person.
The only drawback is that it’s only available in Jeju Island.
Hahaha~
This is a good reason to come back to Jeju Island next time.

On the third day of our trip, we went to the south route, and it was another day filled with delicious food and beautiful scenery.
Our main destinations today were a boat tour of Marado Island and hiking up Songaksan Mountain.
On the way there, we passed by a souvenir warehouse in the Jungmun Tourist Area. How could we not go shopping there? It was a good opportunity to buy some gifts and souvenirs for my friends and family.
📍Gifts: Souvenir Shop Shopping Guide
The souvenir shop is next to the beach. It’s just a short walk to the beach, and the scenery is amazing!
There’s also a photogenic cafe next door. There’s a large parking lot in front of the cafe.
The souvenirs are all super cute and adorable. This is simply paradise for Jeju Island IP – tangerines 🍊 and camellia flowers.
The decoration of the shop is like a large orange 🍊 juice spill. The overall orange tone makes you feel warm and sweet when you’re shopping, and you’re in a great mood!
There are also various clothes, accessories, fridge magnets, postcards, keychains, music boxes, incense, sticky notes, and other small items.
There are also the “stone grandfather and grandmother” black reef limited edition figurines that I’ve been charmed by on my trip~
They’re really cute! They appeal to my girlish heart.
I couldn’t stop myself from buying 100,000 won worth of stuff.
The shop also has a huge snack section. I bought the No. 1 tangerine pie. It’s sweet and sour, so delicious.
Anyway, it’s a huge souvenir warehouse with everything you need. You can get all your specialty gifts in one stop, which is very convenient.
I bought a lot of gifts for my friends, fridge magnets, all kinds of cute bags, keychains, tangerine pie… In the end, my big shopping bag was full!
I regret not bringing a suitcase.

📍Food: The black pork BBQ restaurant I went to twice in three days
After shopping, it was almost lunch time. There’s also That House Black Pork BBQ near the souvenir shop. We ate at their BBQ restaurant in Aewol for dinner on the first day we arrived, and we couldn’t stop thinking about it after we left. So we decided to go back to their Jungmun branch for a second round.
Jeju Island happy pig, you are so delicious when you’re grilled!!
The owner is super enthusiastic. I think he’s an e-person.
He not only helped us grill the meat, took pictures with us, and showed us the celebrity signatures (their restaurant has been visited by so many celebrities),
but he also opened the freezer and showed us the black pork ingredients. He made sure we could eat with peace of mind. Hahaha, he’s so cute!
In addition to BBQ, there are also hot pots.
The five of us ordered a BBQ set and another kimchi hot pot. We added noodles and fried eggs. The noodles were so delicious cooked in the kimchi hot pot. All the side dishes, rice milk, and fried eggs in the restaurant are self-service and unlimited~
There are also Chinese-speaking staff.
In the end, we paid, and the five of us only spent 180 yuan per person.
We were so satisfied with this meal. We were full of energy and ready to go for the boat trip + hike.

The Jungmun Branch is a branch. The main branch is in Aewol. We went to the Aewol main branch for dinner after watching the sunset at Sinsungak on the first day we arrived.
We ordered a BBQ + fried rice set at the main branch. Although the dishes were slightly different from the Jungmun branch, the taste was still top-notch.
Black pork in Jeju Island is fermented before it’s served.
The time, temperature, and humidity are set in advance.
Plus, Jeju Island has a natural, pollution-free environment and beautiful scenery.
You can say that every pig is a happy pig~ hahaha
The meat is incredibly dense and juicy. It’s delicious with Jeju Island specialty longevity vegetables. The vegetables help to balance out the richness of the meat~
After eating the BBQ, the staff cooked us a cheese fried rice with herring roe + kimchi + seaweed + cheese. It’s so sweet and sticky~
Korean people are so romantic. Even the fried rice is cooked in the shape of a heart.
There are also all kinds of self-service side dishes that you can take as much as you want. Especially the pickled peppers, they’re crunchy and sour and spicy. They’re cold when you eat them. They’re my favorite.
📍Hike up Songaksan Mountain: As if you’ve been teleported to Scotland
If you could only go to one place in Jeju Island, you have to choose Seopjikoji. If you want to recommend the most surprising scenic spot in Jeju Island, it must be Songaksan Mountain. Blue sky and white clouds, bright sunshine, the azure sea. We walked along the wooden path by the sea all the way to the top. It felt like we were in the Scottish Highlands.
We spent two hours hiking, stopping to take photos along the way.
We checked the weather beforehand and found out that the sunset was at 6:30 PM that day.
We timed it just right and went to have dinner before sunset.
📍Encountered beautiful fire clouds after eating grilled fish, so lucky
We went to a family restaurant near Sanbangsan Mountain. It’s a grilled fish restaurant. There were many local people who came to eat after hiking and hiking. Seeing this scene, we knew we had found the right restaurant, hahaha.
I mean, Korean people are so romantic~
Even the grilled fish is arranged in the shape of a heart. The fish is very fresh.
In addition to grilled fish, there is also spicy stewed bluefish, and the side dishes are unlimited.
The five of us ordered the grilled fish + hot pot set. It was only about 100 yuan per person. The value for money is amazing!
The restaurant and the entrance of the restaurant are very photogenic. I took some sunset photos.

We went to the beach to watch the sunset after dinner.
It was so beautiful!
The last day in Jeju Island was relatively relaxed. I slept in, then had brunch, and then took Korean photos that I hadn’t taken in Seoul. I had to do it this time.
📍Brunch: Encountered a soup restaurant frequented by celebrities
We chose a soup restaurant near the airport. We actually chose it randomly, but when we walked in, we were immediately attracted to the photos on the wall, including our Zhang Weijian, and many Korean stars.
The restaurant is quite large and there are many set menus to choose from. We ordered a live abalone seafood pot, with a large table of side dishes and pork bone ramen.
Their most classic dish is the hangover soup and beef soup rice. It’s hot and comfortable in your stomach~

📍Hanbok photoshoot: The everyday life of a Korean princess
Listen to me, you have to take a hanbok photoshoot when you come to Jeju Island.
After all, Jeju Island has so many ancient buildings!
Have fun and be carefree as a Korean princess for a day.
I chose the ME Photography Studio. It’s appointment-based, and they provide excellent service. The unni’s photography skills are excellent.

The hotel we stayed at for this trip – Rich hotel, is located in the central Jeju City area. The literal meaning is simply too luxurious, hahaha!!
The three of us girls booked a suite. It’s very large, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 living rooms~
The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room have excellent lighting. The bathroom has a bathtub, which is perfect for travelers who are tired after a long journey. The balcony view is also amazing. Outside the window is blue sky, white clouds, the sea, and small detached houses. The view is very much like an American street district. It really feels like you’re in the West Coast or Hawaii.
It’s so pleasant to sit on the balcony in the morning, drink coffee, and watch the scenery~
The hotel is right by the sea. You can take a walk to the beach and feel the sea breeze and enjoy the scenery.
There’s a CU convenience store and a Starbucks within 50 meters of the hotel.
The view from the balcony on the second floor of Starbucks is also very beautiful.
We bought Starbucks takeaway in the morning and walked to the beach to drink it.
This 4-day round-the-island tour of Jeju Island was so much fun, so delicious, so beautiful, so free, and so relaxing!
Of course, Marado Island, which we didn’t get to go to, became a regret of this trip. But hey, this is just a good reason to come back next time, right!
